Last night I got talked into doing something quite crazy for me--I agreed to meet a girl at the city college track to run a few laps. This girl was a part of my boot camp, and she is super nice, but she is also quite above me in terms of abilities--she just recently ran the SB Marathon last month, while I consider myself victorious if I finish running a mile.

We met and ran 3 laps and then walked a 4th as a warmup, and then I found out that her plan was to run 10 additional laps with a minute rest in between. I thought for sure that I would have to stop way before, but the rest in between did help a lot. Eventually too we broke off from each other, since I'm sure I was slowing her down. After awhile too, I started only running the straight parts and walking the curves, which also helped tremendously.

When all was said and done though, we went around the track 14 times, which equates to 3.5 miles--by far the most I've ever run at once (even accounting for the times I was walking). I already felt sore by the end of the workout, and sure enough, it was SUPER hard to move and get out of bed today. I feel like I might never walk again!
