I decided to come down to visit my mom for the first time in years for Mother’s Day. Normally I just send flowers, but this time I graced her with my presence. I drove home yesterday afternoon, and arrived just in time to go over to my aunt’s house for dinner with my grandma. Everyone was surprised and pleased to see me, so that was cool.

Today we are having a BBQ after my sister gets off work. It was originally going to be at her house, but plans changed, and it will now be held here. Hopefully it will turn out well—there are now a few more people coming than originally expected.
