Hello Kitty Hat
Today I will share the hat that I completed last night. It’s part of a Hello Kitty Knitalong I’m participating in, where we are making several Hello Kitty items. The first item is a hat!
The completed project came out thusly:
One of my coworkers, who saw the picture when I first posted it on Flickr, commented that without me saying what it was, he would not know it was Hello Kitty, but I think it looks pretty identifiable! Am I wrong??

I totally thought “Hello Kitty” when I first looked, but at the same time, I can see how someone wouldn’t think that right away. I mean, it’s no fault of your own; the shape is just a wee different.
Are you making hats with any other Hello Kitty characters? Badtz-Maru, perhaps? Maybe Chococat?
1 | Posted by: mikey on January 17, 2008 @ 12:53 PMWell, if you mean placement of the ears, eyes, nose, or whiskers, it’s my fault, because I “chose” where to ultimately sew them on, but if you just mean the shape of the hat or shape of the ears, then that’s the pattern, and not me.
With all the Hello Kitty stuff I know you’ve been exposed to though, how could that NOT be the first thing you thought?? :)
Oh and unfortunately, no other characters, just all Hello Kitty. I do like Chococat…
