Beep Beep Beep
The guy who moved in downstairs doesn’t make too much noise—he’s certainly a lot better than one of the guys who preceded him who used to watch his TV and listen to music really loud with the bass turned up.
There is one thing, however, that has me a bit perplexed. At least once a day I will hear a “beep beep beep, beep beep beep, etc.” sound. I don’t know if it’s a weird alarm or the smoke detector or what, but it happens pretty much daily. Sometimes it even happens maybe 30 seconds to a minute after I hear him exit his apartment and drive away. Is he constantly setting fire to things? Smoking when he’s not supposed to? If it’s an alarm, why doesn’t he turn it off immediately? If it’s the smoke detector, why doesn’t he figure out how to not trigger it, or else remove the battery?
It’s not a super loud sound, but like the yappy dog, I can hear it, since this building is not well insulated. Since it, like the dog, occurs daily, it’s just a temporary annoyance during the day. And here I thought I would never have as many random things to observe or complain about because I didn’t work in an office!

Maybe its a Power Backup Unit that warns him of bad battery and asks to replace it.

It’s a mystery. Whatever it is, it apparently doesn’t bother him enough to disable it or make it stop…
