Sad, sad news in the entertainment world over the weekend. Charles Nelson Reilly died on Friday at the age of 76.

Those of you who have read for awhile know of my affinity for the Match Game (and of course there is the Drinking Game I made, with many of the items on the list pertaining to Charles specifically.

Though he may not have wanted to be best known for a game show, the fact is that he was one of the best things about that show, helping to make it one of the most fun game shows to watch (and probably to be a contestant on, I’m sure).

I don’t normally write about celebrity deaths or other entertainment news, but I loved watching his game show appearances so much that it really is quite sad that he is no longer around.
