This afternoon I attended a baby shower in Ventura for a girl I used to work with back at the UCSB Library. This is her first pregnancy and she is expecting twins—a boy and a girl. Yikes. Anyway, the shower was small but nice. It was a nice day today, so the drive along the ocean was pleasant and made me actually not want to drive as fast as I normally would.

As for celebrating Cinco de Mayo, I am not sure what I will be up to, if anything. I got a call about some party that is actually very nearby, but I’m not sure I’d know anyone except one person. I may end up getting a drink with Ben somewhere, but that has not yet been decided yet—he is supposed to give me a call a little later.

I went out last night though, and so don’t necessarily want to go to a party tonight. I guess I wouldn’t mind something low key or whatnot, but we will see. The night is still young.
