I have rediscovered my love for Sims 2. Once I got the new computer all up and running with all sound, video, and other drivers properly installed, the first thing I did was install the Sims 2 on there and play it on a system more than twice as fast as my previous one and with a good video card (as opposed to integrated graphics). I hadn’t bothered loading it on my old system since it fell far short of meeting the minimum requirements and even lagged quite a bit on my laptop which barely did. It wasn’t quite bad enough to give up playing, but enough that I didn’t load it up without proper planning and setting aside extra time due to lagging whenever I moved around.

Anyway, it all moves SOOO smoothly now—I never realized how quickly events and movement could be on that game. I think everything took longer to happen before! It’s so much easier and more enjoyable to play now. Now I need to go out and buy Civ 4 and try that out!
