Where is Everybody?!?!
In my office we have a nice policy where you can come in any time you want, as long as it’s before 10am. You don’t have to tell anyone in advance, and you are free to change your schedule from day to day.
Today, however, it is 10am and I am still the only person in my section. What is going on??? Where is everybody??? Did I miss a memo saying “Let’s all meet for breakfast” or “Let’s take the day off!”?
This is getting creepy…normally SOMEONE is here by now. Thank goodness other people are around the office or I’d really be worrying that I’m not supposed to be here today.
UPDATE: Whew, I guess I’m not crazy. Everyone just came in around 10:05. Still a little weird to be here alone so late in the morning.

Yes, it is a rather great policy—it’s one of the ones the employees like best! As long as we are here between 10am and 3pm, they don’t care what time we come in or how late we stay—as long as we get our 8 hours in.
It’s nice not to have to worry about rushing in the morning if you get a slow start. :)

thing is, I have colleagues who are great at starting at 8 am, and I’m not really a morning person ;-)
