Winner, Winner, Winner

Woohoo I am the winner of the baby pool here at work! Well, ok, I’m actually the co-winner—it seems two of us got the exact same score.

One of the guys here decided to have a pool where people guessed on several aspects of the baby: date of birth, time of birth, length, weight, and dark vs. light hair.

I was only off by about 2 minutes on the time of birth, but 5 days on the date, so that kinda killed me. Even though I’m glad I won, I’m a little upset that I’m only winning $20 instead of $40, since I have to split with the other woman who won. Call me greedy!

Greedy. Could be worse though, you could be Greedo. Just don’t shoot first.

Well you got yourself a way to get your name to fame :P

Hehe, perhaps Sofie, although it would’ve been cooler if the winner got to pick the name, or have the kid named after them. Although, seeing as how the baby is a boy, I’m thinking Jennifer might not have been the best choice for him. :)

Oh and Leonieke I’d love to share the wealth, but umm, what with wire transfer fees and fees to convert the money from $US to Euros, I’m afraid there wouldn’t be much to go around. ;)

Given the large number of Jens already out there, I think perhaps there should be a freeze on naming kids Jennifer. No offense Jen.

However, this would, of course, drastically lower my potential dating pool. But It’s ok.. i’d be 25 years older that that’d be gross.

You dont want to lower the dating pool. I mean, cripes, try being limited to gals with “Y” in their name like me. It’s pretty bad!

I think that you’ve got it better. You can always mess with the names to get a Y. Like, Jen becomes Jenny. Elizabeth - Lizzy.

See :)

hmm well, so far that hasn’t happened…the bomb-outs have been names like Renee and Tricia and Janeen.

Tough break man. Names already ending in vowels… You were pretty much f00ked.

Hey Kev, I don’t know if you noticed, but while all your girls may not have had the letter “y” they all have had the same sound in their name. The “y” is a long “e” sound. All the other girls have long “e”s in their name. Ok, well, maybe not Renee, but 2 e’s traditionally makes a long “e” sound, so I think that should count!
