Oh my god, it was freakin’ HOT this weekend! It was almost 100 degrees, which is almost unheard of in Santa Barbara—where our claim to fame is that it is always 70 degrees or something.

Normally I’d say bring it on, but that is when I have an air conditioned house in which to seek refuge. Since it is almost never hot in SB, pretty much no homes have AC, making it difficult to justify going outside, when you know you won’t quickly cool off by going inside. I think my bedroom was a “cool” 90 degrees, and there was no breeze to be found, making it almost futile to open my door and window in hopes of circulating a little air.

I think next time I need to go swimming! :)
