Dangerous Paper

I think that I’ve gotten more paper cuts on my fingers in the last two weeks than in the last 10 years!

It’s crazy—I swear that every time I touch a journal or some stack of papers, they find a way to slice me. The worst ones, of course, are the ones that you can feel, but can’t see.

Luckily I haven’t gotten any today, but it is only 8:30am—the day is still young! UPDATE, 10:04am: Well, there goes that! Just sliced the ring finger on my right hand. Ow!

ouch! Jennifer, in dutch we have this saying:

“God punishes you immediately”

basically, whenever you say something hasn’t/will never/doesn’t happen, TADAA! it does :)

Hehe, Leonieke, I guess that’s exactly what must’ve happened in my case. :)

And you know, I guess it doesn’t hurt THAT much—and I suppose I’m getting used to it. Although, I’m thinking I should avoid hand-squeezing lemons for the time-being. :)

OK, I’ll match your papercuts and raise you cuts on cardboard, tuna pouches and plastic containers. Fold?

Hehe ok Angela, you win! Especially since I’m sure you get those on an almost daily basis! I have cut myself on cardboard before—but I think the worst was when I cut myself on the edge of a plastic school binder. Thank god I don’t touch THOSE things daily!

The real challenge, though, is not to scream out “Holy F&^%!” :D
