Back Again
Well, I’m back from my visit home this weekend. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see my grandma—I assumed she would come to Mother’s Day dinner with us like usual, but I guess this year she had other plans.
Went to the Renaissance Faire on Saturday, which of course had the usual bevy of buxom girls dressed in peasant garb, spilling out their more than ample bosoms for all to see. There need to be more skinny chicks in those outfits—equal representation for all body types! Anyway, it was amusing, and I got some color being out in the sun for a few hours. It was probably only in the high 80s, so it wasn’t too bad, temperature-wise.
The majority of my time was spent trying to get my mom’s computer to work, since it spontaneously decided to corrupt main Windows files and not boot in ANY mode—not even Safe Mode. I think all that’s left is formatting and doing a clean install, but first my sister’s boyfriend has to try to remove some pictures from the hard drive. Hope it works!
I meant to wash and detail my car, but I ran out of time. Blah.

I’m sorry you didn’t get to see your grandma :(
Good job fixing up your mother’s pc! I hope you are able to get the pics off!
1 | Posted by: Colleen on May 10, 2004 @ 9:03 AMHehe oops I suppose I should clarify. I didn’t really have any luck getting it to work. I would’ve formatted on the spot but my mom wanted her pix saved. I didn’t have another computer handy to plug the hard drive into, so my sister took it to her boyfriend’s, where he supposedly could do it.
Its time was coming anyway. Various programs had been spontaneously corrupting and refusing to work, so it was only a matter of time before she’d have to start over. She just wasn’t expecting so soon I guess.

3 | Posted by: Ivette01 on May 10, 2004 @ 9:56 AMI think skinny body types are overrepresented everywhere else jen. ;) Gotta have the RenFaire to balance out the universe.
And oddly enough Ivette, Jen is actually “black and white” colored in real life. Its rather unnerving. It is all due to a very horribly and unfortunate chemistry experiment in high school. Lost all her color, she’s just shaded now. Doctors have been stumped for a decade. In other words, you’re not missing anything. ;)
