Arachnophobia
I really, really hate spiders. They are kinda scary looking if you’ve ever seen one up close, they are creepy, crawly, and some can bite and kill you while you sleep!
My house always has a good number of spiders. In the past, our bathroom was filled with them, but they seem to have all moved to my bedroom. This morning though, I noticed two in the bathroom.
Ok, that’s not TOO bad, but you don’t know where I saw one of them…it was on the underside of the toilet lid. That means that if you sat down and leaned back, you would lean right into a spider! EWW.
What are the odds, and how did it get there? It wasn’t there when I got out of the shower, so I have NO idea where it went. Creeeeeepy! I guess I will have to make sure I pay attention when I go in there from now on.

Eeew! I can’t stand spiders - they make me cringe! I’m always afraid of finding one in the bathroom, especially in the shower but the toilet? That thought freaks me out! Good thing you noticed it!
1 | Posted by: Colleen on March 03, 2004 @ 1:28 PMOh, I KNOW!! Luckily I wasn’t in there to use it—I just noticed cuz I live with boys and they always leave the seat up. I’ve never seen anything like it before. I mean, it always seems like one of those urban legends…
And I agree-I totally hate them in the shower—especially when you turn your head for 2 seconds and find out they are gone…but where to??
2 | Posted by: JenniferWell, I think you know how I feel. I won’t hardly go back to a whole state because of the spiders! We do get them here in the summer as the heat drives them out, but they seem to be a breed that stay on the floor. No surprises other than when they get too big. Not that I let the ones that get in live. Shudder… MSN yesterday had a pic of a woman with a huge spider on her face. I’m thinking of suing for mental damages. ;)

And Angela, yea I know how you feel about the spiders. Just curious, did you click on those pix that Eric posted? OMG is all I have to say! I am just thankful the ones I see are harmless little to medium sized brown spiders.
I hate killing spiders though—not because of any moral reason, but because it’s gross. Sometimes it’s just a necessary evil though.
6 | Posted by: JenniferHeck no! I’m not falling into that trap. Then I’d be up with nightmares, smacking the heck out of my husband in the middle of the night every time his hand brushed against me. Nope, already know what spiders look like - don’t need links to view them even closer. Shiver, shiver… You have to learn the art of killing a spider without splatting it. As long as you can maim it, than you can more gently beat the hell out of it without making a mess ;)
7 | Posted by: Angela Giles Klocke on March 05, 2004 @ 7:25 AMLOL I had no idea there was such an art to the killing of spiders. It still grosses me out though—especially when you find little pieces of leg on the bottom of your shoe or whatever object you used to cause the critters an early demise!
8 | Posted by: JenniferGREAT! All this talk and then last night I had a dream that some woman was chasing me down the highway (on foot), trying to throw a HUGE spider on me. This subject shall now be considered off limits no matter who brings it up and where! Blah! ;)
