*Thump Thump Thump*

No, that’s not the sound of someone getting busy in the next room. That, my friends, is the sound of one of my housemates drying his shoes in the dryer.

Before I made this post to condemn his actions, I looked it up to make sure that it really is a bad thing to do. I mean, it SEEMS like a bad idea for a lot of reasons—not the least of which is the fact that it makes a TON of noise.

It turns out that all the banging around can damage the heater coils, so it is a good thing that my landlady just made my housemate dry them outside. On a side note, I think this housemate was responsible for breaking our washing machine with his crap, so it’s for the best that he not break our dryer too.

All I care about though is not having the machines break, and not having to hear shoes banging around for the next hour.

Many dryers come with an attachement shelf that sits in the middle of the dryer for just this sort of thing.

Wow Dre, I didn’t know that. I don’t think our dryer has such an attachment, or if it did, it’s now long gone. This dryer is probably at least 15 years old. Although….if he broke the dryer, we’d get a new one! That’s what happened when the washing machine broke. Hmm….
