I went home this weekend so that my mom and sister could give me their gift—a trip to a day spa. While discussing the idea, they both decided that it sounded so good, they’d get in on the action too.

So, all 3 of us spent almost 6 hours at the place. We each started out in the hydro tub, which is kinda like a jacuzzi—with jets spraying on you in in tub while they kinda massage you a little.

Next, it was off to get a massage and facial.

Finally, my sister and I got our hair cut and highlighted. I got mine cut a few inches, along with different highlights, while she got a trim and major darkening so that she can return to her natural color.

Overall, the day was long, but it was pretty cool and relaxing. Plus I like the new hair, so maybe I’ll actually spend time trying to look cute. Also, I might be inclined to maintain my hair by cutting and highlighting it more often than I currently do (I had over 2 inches of regrowth from the last time I highlighted).
