Today there was a fatal accident on Thunder Mountain at Disneyland. One person is dead and 10 others are injured.

I had an annual pass for a few years, and living within 20 minutes of the theme park, I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count. I have all the rides memorized, can tell you where any restroom, attraction, or restaurant is located, etc.

Disneyland is generally pretty strict with their health and safety regulations, but obviously things can still go wrong. I always assumed rides like Thunder Mountain were safer because they didn’t go as high or upside down or anything. I won’t even ride the “dangerous” ones. I guess in this case it wouldn’t have mattered.

Damn.
