The Problem with Housemates

Well, I normally write about my weekend long before mid-week, but I got lazy. Anyway, I can't even really remember what I did at this point! Oh yeah, I know that I saw Al Pacino's new movie, Simone. I didn't really know much about it, other than it was supposed to be a movie about a digitally created movie star. Actually, I suppose that's all it's about anyway! Overall it wasn't bad--it was watchable, although a little odd in parts. I thought there were some plausibility errors, but I guess since it was innovative, it can be forgiven.

I also again washed my car, wooo!! Man, that seems to be all I ever do now. :) On Tuesday there was supposed to be the regular event with Kevin--not bowling, because the Orchid Bowl is closed until October for major renovations. Supposedly it is going to be really cool, with a cafe, an improved Galleon Room, and revamped alleys. We shall see. Anyway, Kevin didn't have anything planned, but was going to call me, but never did. I guess nothing happened!

Today I took a day off from work to get my complimentary first oil change at the Ventura VW dealer where I bought my car. Technically it is supposed to be the 5,000 mile oil change, but I made the appointment when I bought the car, and so only had 3,500 miles on it. Unfortunately the service center is only open 8-5 M-F, so I couldn't take it in unless I took time off. I made my appointment at 11 am, so there was no time to go to work before then. While I got back to SB around 12:15 and could've worked half a day, I decided against it, as any vacation is welcome. I used the time to finally purchase touch-up paint for those gouges in my car and to do laundry.

Oh yeah, I want to do a random rant. I made myself oatmeal today and decided to drink one of the two Snapple Peach Iced Teas. I randomly grabbed one, and when I returned to my room to drink it, I noticed that the little seal around the lid was missing--as was a quarter of the contents!! One of my damn roommates drank some of my unopened teas!!! I think it was one of the exchange students staying here briefly, because I didn't have a problem with it before their arrival. I can't be positive, however. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate roommates?? I would much rather live alone, or maybe live with people I knew and could say things like "Don't eat my food." Instead I hide out in my room and try to avoid all contact with the people I share a house with.

Ok, to cheer myself up, I will think about the fact that this Monday is a holiday--Labor Day! I have not yet solidified plans, but I'll probably wind up writing about it after the holiday. I think that's all I had to write about for now. Goddamn, I swear that my housemates are being SO loud right now. Quite obnoxious actually. Ugh....
