Time for my obligatory weekly update. Friday night I went to E-Bar with Junar, his fiancee Anne, Vince, and Junar's friend Jerome. The reason for this outing is that Junar is leaving the Serials Department to move to Pennsylvania with Anne. His last day is actually tomorrow.

Yesterday I watched Goldmember, which had its funny moments. My least favorite moments are those that have Fat Bastard making gross jokes--which is pretty much the reason why I much preferred the first movie to the second. I can't stand really gross humor. After the movie I fulfilled my promise to Steve to TRY to install his TV card. I use the word "try" because I was unsuccessful. After 4 hours, I still could not get it to work, although I did manage to mess up his video card so that it conflicted with other devices and refused to work properly. The result is that he is now forced to view everything in 16 colors and extremely low resolution. I felt really bad, because not only did I not get the card installed right, but I messed something else up in the process. It's actually the only time I've been unable to make something work. I think he was a little upset (justifiably I must say, because I would be extremely upset under the same circumstances), but he handled himself really well and refused to take it out on me, other than a couple shots at how he couldn't really use his computer properly. To add to feeling bad though, I managed to make Vince mad at me (or at least worried) because I didn't call him yesterday. If there's one thing I'm bad at, it's calling people while in the middle of an activity to let them know the status of things. It's one thing that got me in trouble a lot with my mom, which was the main reason I never wanted to go out and ultimately wound up stayed at home. I hate being accountable to people for every minute of my day, and that's usually why, even now, I opt to stay in rather than go out. There is less hassle that way and no chance of me "getting in trouble".

Today I did laundry and watched Six Feet Under as usual. My Grandma called me today and wants me to come home next weekend for my mom's birthday, which is a week from Monday. The reason she wants me to come home, is that we are having a surprise party for her the following weekend, and she wants my "uneventful" (read: no party) visit next weekend to throw her off. I'm not sure if it will work, but I guess I'll go anyway. At any rate, I like seeing my Grandma, and it's always good when she cooks for me! The next weekend I have to stay with her in secret, so my mom won't know I'm in town. My sister is even driving into town for the occasion, and this is actually what prompted the party. We shall see if it works in a few weeks.
