Some Work and Tons of Play

Ok so I actually did something eventful this weekend. I suppose I will start with Friday. Well part of Friday sucked because my supervisor EMAILED me to tell me to stop looking on the Internet so much, because we work as a team and it's not fair to me or the unit when we are so backed up and I am not working. I might consider this advice worth following if it weren't for the fact that she does WAY less work than me or the other girl and that she lied in the email saying that the Section Heads report back to her when she is away, which I know for a fact is not true. It actually really bugs me that she always comments on how we are always so backed up in work--I never think it's bad, but she never does any of it anyway. She always just pawns it off on me and Cristina.

But anyway, I took a half day so I was out of there by noon, which was good. The reason I left was that my sister came up to visit me. I did some laundry while I waited for her, and she arrived around 3:30. We then went down to State Street to walk around and even made it as far as the end of the pier, where we ate dinner at Longboard's. We sat outside, which was great because it was nice and sunny out. After that we walked over to the Arlington to see Star Wars at 7:45. We got there 45 minutes early but the line was already around the corner--luckily we bought tickets beforehand.

Saturday we went to go see Junar's recital, which was pretty good. Unfortunately my cell phone went off at the beginning of the performance, which was somewhat embarrassing. :( Afterward, my sister, Vince, and I ate at E-Bar and passed the time until 10:30 when my sister and I went downtown with Erik, his ex, another former safety guy, and two other guys. Scoob, the other safety guy, took a liking to my sister it seems. What was amusing about the night though is that we stopped first in Dargan's to have a few drinks, and while there, my sister was made to pose in a picture with some marines. This was supposedly as proof that this guy could get hot chicks or something. Nothing like that ever happens to me though. We then wound up in O'Malley's since everywhere else was too crowded We just talked and drank until they kicked us out. After that, we went back to Lynsey's place and sat in the spa. My sister eventually wound up making out with that one dude (big surprise) and the rest of us drank and talked until who knows what time, when we went into the condo and passed out upstairs. In the morning my sister and I were given a ride home, and we lay in bed until around 2 pm, when she finally felt ok enough to drive back to Whittier.

I got up shortly after that and showered and started my day, even though I felt a bit icky. I then slept at Vince's until 5, when I had a bowl of cereal and then went to Josh's as usual. He kicked us out right after the show this time, because he was tired from wine tasting at thePaso Robles Wine Festival this weekend and also had to pack for his trip to Boston tomorrow. I then wound up back at Vince's and watched Bridget Jones's Diary (I've already seen it though) and then came home. This is probably the most eventful weekend I've had in a long time. I am a bit tired, but I definitely had fun, which is good. It's also good that my sister had fun, since sometimes it's hard thinking of things to do when she visits.

Oh, tonight though when I got back, I found out that one of my roommates is missing several thousand in cash and her passport. I think it's insane she had that much money around. All I know is, I didn't do it, and i'm never home anyway so I didn't see anyone who might have. That totally sucks though, and the police were called earlier this evening. Everyone in the house had to give a statement. Hopefully she just misplaced it, but who knows. If it really is stolen though, that means we'll all have to be way more careful with our own rooms. I guess we'll see though. It is past my bedtime so i'm gonna wrap this up. Later.
