More Roommate Wars

Ok, I admit it, I did something really bad yesterday. Are you ready to hear it?? I….used the last of the toilet paper and didn’t replace it.

I know, it was a terrible thing to do, but I had other stuff to do! I’m also not the only one in the house who does this—at least 5 times in the last month I’ve had to enter the bathroom, see there is none, and go out to the hall and get some. The other people who leave it empty though are much too clever to use ALL of it—no, they leave just enough so that it looks like there is still some on the roll. But there’s not.

Anyway, as I was getting ready for bed, I noticed that someone had replaced the toilet paper, but that in the trash was an empty roll with a bunch of big black writing on it. It basically said "I LOVE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS HOUSE. DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN!"

I think there may have been another sentence or two in there, but I can't remember. It really did have that much writing on it though, and all in caps. The funny thing is, that it probably took more time for them to write that stuff on the empty roll than to just go out and quietly replace it.

There was also a crumpled up paper in the trash, which upon further inspection, contained spaces to signup for Toilet Paper and Soap. I know it was the german girl who made the sign-up sheet, because she signed up for soap, and it was in the same writing as the other writing on the sheet. The mystery is if she decided it wasn't worth fighting over after all, or if the surfer guy saw it and got pissed--he has a way of doing that sometimes.

At any rate, they should be lucky there is anything in there at all! In the past, with the other housemates, there was NEVER any toilet paper. I used to replace it, but then noticed that no one reciprocated the favor. When I didn't replace it, there just wasn't any in there. Since I can be pretty spiteful at times, I would just bring a roll in when I needed it, and then remove it when I left the bathroom.

It's BS like this that makes me wish that I either lived alone, or with people I actually knew beforehand. Petty things like writing all over toilet rolls are kinda lame--especially since everyone forgets at one time or another. It did seem, however, that there was a little more harmony and autonomy with previous housemates--everyone bought their own stuff and didn't worry about anyone but themselves. Anyway, just a little early morning rant!
